Europe Books presents “The Ecosocialist Manifesto”. Let’s meet the author, Adem Bilgin, and discover all he has to say about his book!

Today we talk about The Ecosocialist Manifesto, a book by Adem Bilgin published with our publishing house Europe Books.

Europe Books had the pleasure of interviewing the author Adem Bilgin to get to know him better, what prompted him to the writing of his book The Ecosocialist Manifesto, as well as how he felt to see his book published.

Below you can find our interview. Take a seat and enjoy your reading!!!

  • What prompted you to the writing of your book?

The book was prompted by a growing realization that the dominant political and economic narratives of our time are fundamentally inadequate to the scale of the ecological crisis we face. Climate breakdown, biodiversity collapse, and social inequality are not separate problems; they are expressions of the same systemic logic. I felt that traditional socialist critiques were incomplete because they focused almost exclusively on labor and class, while mainstream environmentalism avoided confronting capital itself. The Ecosocialist Manifesto emerged from the need to update the critical spirit of the Communist Manifesto for the age of ecological collapse—to name the central conflict of our century as life versus capital, and to offer a coherent, planetary alternative grounded in both science and ethics.

  • What characteristics should your audience have to appreciate your book?

The ideal reader does not need to belong to a specific political tradition, but they should be intellectually open, ethically concerned, and willing to question inherited assumptions about progress, growth, and ownership. The book speaks to workers, scientists, students, environmental defenders, and thinkers who sense that “business as usual” is leading toward catastrophe. It also resonates with readers who value both rigorous analysis and moral clarity—those who understand that ecological crisis is not merely technical, but civilizational. In short, it is for readers who are ready to think beyond national borders, narrow identities, and short-term interests.

  • What messages did you want to convey with your book?

The central message is that humanity stands at a planetary crossroads: either we reorganize society around the preservation and regeneration of life, or we continue down a path toward ecological and social collapse. I wanted to convey that ecosocialism is not an ideological luxury or a utopian dream, but a necessity for survival. The book introduces the concept of the “workers of life,” expanding political responsibility beyond wage labor to include ecosystems, future generations, and all those who defend the conditions of existence. Through the Wise Tree model and the ten-point ecosocialist program, I aimed to show that another form of civilization—scientific, ethical, pluralistic, and ecological—is not only possible but urgently required.

  • How did it feel to see your book published?

Seeing the book published was not so much a feeling of personal accomplishment as a sense of responsibility. A manifesto is not meant to be a closed work; it is an invitation, even a provocation. Publication marked the moment when the ideas no longer belonged to me alone but entered public debate, open to critique, dialogue, and action. In that sense, it felt less like an ending and more like a beginning—a contribution to a much larger collective effort to rethink how humanity relates to Earth, to one another, and to the future.

  • Are you working on a new writing project you can tell us about?

Yes, I am writing a book on theoretical philosophy for Generation Z. It is easy to understand by young people, but not a simplified philosophy book.

Europe Books thanks the author Adem Bilgin once again for taking the time and answering our questions. We are really pleased to have walked alongside him on the editorial path that led to the publication of his book The Ecosocialist Manifesto. We wish him the best of luck for his book and for his future works.

To you, my dear reader, may the author’s shared messages on the central theme of humanity be food for thought for yourselves and to understand whether these can be applied to the life you are living to make it better..

So, my dear reader, all I have to say is to enjoy your reading!
