How could you exit from your state of Boredom? Europe Books presents “Breaking through the role of the victim”, a book by Alenka Lena Petric

Today we talk about Breaking through the role of the victim, a book by Alenka Lena Petric published with our Publishing house Europe Books.

Europe Books had the pleasure of interviewing the author, Alenka Lena Petric, to get to know her better, what prompted her to write her book Breaking through the role of the victim, as well as the description of someone who can break through the role of the victim.

  • What prompted to the writing of your book?

I am a passionate seeker of life’s deeper truths. My fascination lies in understanding the human personality—what it is composed of, how its different parts function, and how they influence our way of being. This inner calling led me on a path of exploration. I am also deeply spiritual, an ethicist and moralist at heart. My work interweaves all of these elements—freedom, the heart, the soul—which I see as the central thread of human existence. My endless reflection and research eventually found their natural expression in this book. Psychology has always felt incredibly close to me, and I have great admiration for the Swiss psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung. He believed that one of the most important tasks of humanity is to explore the psyche, for we know far too little about it—and this ignorance can make us our own worst enemy. He spoke of the shadow within us, and that notion continues to intrigue me. I am especially interested in how one can confront and transcend these inner shadows. Is it possible to live without them? My own shadows and lack of awareness have caused considerable pain in my life. Through this, I’ve come to see knowledge as a key—perhaps even the key—on the path to inner freedom and enlightenment.

  • What would you like to hear from your readers?

What I most hope to hear is that readers have learned something—that the book has impacted them, awakened something meaningful within. This book is not a novel in the traditional sense. It is a guide, a manual, a teaching tool. It is meant to be read slowly, a few pages at a time, and reflected upon deeply. Its value lies in how it is applied to daily life. My book catalyzes change. It inspires self-construction, self-discovery, and personal growth. Ultimately, it helps us realize that we are the creators of ourselves. Although men are welcome to read it—and may very well benefit from it—I dedicated this book primarily to women. As a woman myself, I have deeply felt what generations of women have endured throughout history and the lasting consequences they continue to carry. The inhuman acts that humans are capable of still echo in today’s world. Because of centuries of suffering, denial, and suppression, much of humanity merely survives—we do not live. And yet, life offers something entirely different, something we have yet to fully discover.

  • Could you briefly describe in 3 main key points how someone can break through the role of the victim?

The first and most essential step is recognition. One must acknowledge the victim role within oneself—hear it, feel it, and truly see it. This part of us often denies our worth, doubts our abilities, and causes us to stumble again and again.I know this intimately—I was born into this energy. It is the absence of creativity, the state self-pity. And from this, boredom is born, which I see as one of the most dangerous emotional states for humanity. It is a silent poison. Boredom isn’t real—it is something we create when we are disconnected from ourselves. The antidote is creativity. Creativity is the lifeblood of existence. Every moment of our lives can be creative—even something as simple as making morning coffee. A creative person is alive, curious, vibrant. They are actively engaged with life. For a deeper understanding, I invite you to explore more in my book.

  • How did it feel to see your book published?

It was a deeply moving and fulfilling moment. I carry a strong desire for this book to reach people across the world. I believe we are at a point in human evolution where raising consciousness is not just a personal calling, but a collective necessity. Only through a higher state of awareness can we learn to coexist in peace, love, and respect on this planet. The suffering we witness—the cruelty, abuse, violence, and wars—are symptoms of a fragmented, unconscious mind. Humanity has not yet realized that life can be lived without pain and struggle. We are capable of peace, harmony, and unconditional love. My hope is that readers will come to this realization through my book. That they will begin to recognize toxic behavior, and with calm inner strength, learn to say: “I do not wish to play these game.” But to act from this place of wisdom, we need guidance. We need this kind of book. I am profoundly grateful to Europe Books for giving me the opportunity to share this vision.

  • Are you working on a new writing project you can tell us about?

Yes, I am already working on the second part of this book. But before that, I will be publishing a young adult novel. Its protagonist is a teenage girl who embodies the wisdom and insights of my first book, Breaking Through the Role of the Victim. She is brave, bold, and wise beyond her years—a true heroine. This novel is already alive within me; I just need to bring it to the page. I feel immense gratitude for being able to write at all. Gratitude is a profound dimension. Once understood, it transforms your entire perspective. You become great within yourself, rather than above others. Arrogance fades, and what remains is quiet strength, humility, and joy. Thank you is the most powerful prayer so thank you again.
